John Boddie is a highly accomplished Sports Business Consultant with a distinguished career in the sports industry. With nine seasons of experience at the Chicago Bulls, he served as the linchpin for major corporate partnerships, meticulously managing contractual obligations and overseeing day-to-day operations, budgets, hospitality, tickets, and special events for the Partnership Marketing Department. His expertise and dedication were further demonstrated during his tenure in the Community Relations Department, where he held both part-time and Associate roles.

During his year plus tenure at DraftKings, John excelled in Business Development, where he played a pivotal role in managing, curating and maintaining relationships with professional sports leagues and teams. His responsibilities included implementing the company's comprehensive sports strategy, leading strategic partnership development, conducting intricate contract negotiations, managing budgets, and employing performance metrics to drive customer acquisition and engagement across the DraftKings product portfolio.

In 2018, John co-founded ChiGivesBack, Inc., a nonprofit social impact organization based in Chicago. As a co-founder, he has passionately curated volunteer opportunities through innovative giving initiatives and elevated experiences. His relentless efforts have significantly impacted the lives of public-school teachers, senior citizens, low-income families, and individuals experiencing homelessness. His vision for the organization revolves around the creation of innovative charitable programs and projects aimed at alleviating community hardships in Chicago and its surrounding areas.

John's leadership journey traces back to his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Africana Studies. During his academic years, he demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, serving as the Black Affairs Coordinator for two years, being elected as a Senator for the College of Business for three years, and actively participating as an Ambassador for the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute. His multifaceted background and unwavering commitment to community service underscore his standing as a dedicated and influential professional in the sports industry.
