Friendsgiving
Friendsgiving is our annual program that provides warm meals to families during the Thanksgiving holiday season. Historically, Friendsgiving has provided meals holiday meals to families living in the Englewood & Garfield Park Community. CGB partners with local chefs and community organizations to bring catered meals to families in need.
Quick Facts on Friendsgiving
Friendsgiving is more than an event — it is a part of our ongoing ChefsGiveBack initiative to provide healthy meals to low-income families and seniors citizens year round.
We have partnered with Jimmy Butler to expand this program across the city.
Over 200 turkeys have been distributed to Friendsgiving families.
To date, our Friendsgiving event has provided over 900 meals to local families.
In partnership with Columbia Sportswear, we have distributed over $70,000 in winter coats and apparel to families who benefactors of Friendsgiving.
Nominations for the 2025 Friendsgiving will open next Fall!
