MLK Jr. Day of Service

Every year, ChiGivesBack hosts an MLK Jr. Day of Service, where we support a local Chicago school. Together with our volunteers, we organize rooms, repaint walls, and paint murals throughout the school. This program launched in 2019 as part of our #Teach2Give initiative to support teachers, faculty, and students. To date, we have completed beautification projects on five local CPS schools: Brown School of Technology, John Whistler Elementary School, Dr. Martin Luther King Junior College Prep, Tanner Elementary School, and Morgan Park High School.

On Monday, January 15, 2024, ChiGivesBack hosted its 6th annual MLK Jr. Day of Service at Leo High School and Englewood Branded. With over 250 volunteers present, we repainted Leo Catholic High School and updated their teachers’ lounge while organizing Englewood Branded’s warehouse.
