ChiGivesBack Launches “Belle of the Ball” Program to Support Local High School Girls

ChiGivesBack recently launches the “Belle of the Ball” program in honor of Erica Faye Watson who served as an original founding Advisory Board Member for ChiGivesBack. Erica was a local comedian, local media personality and mentor to many.

Belle of the Ball will provide one high school young lady with a free prom send-off. ChiGivesBack will provide hair, make-up, a custom dress, transportation, dinner plans and more to one select high school young lady. This program is a spin on Erica’s “Fairy God Mother” program which supported high school aged women. To be eligible for “Belle of the Ball,” you must be a student within the greater Chicagoland area, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and be in your Senior year expecting to graduate in 2023.  Nominations will close on March 3rd and the winner will be announced on March 17th.
